The cast for the upcoming Dark Machine the Animation series has expanded with the addition of four new voice actors. Kazuyuki Okitsu will voice Myōjin, Ryōta Suzuki is set to play Ryō, Genta Nakamura will portray Kinji, and Sōhei Horikane has been cast as Hiru.

These new additions join the previously announced main cast, which includes Kenshō Ono as Kairi, Miyuki Sawashiro as Rudora, Kōki Uchiyama as Shinn, Riho Sugiyama as Bran, Saya Aizawa as Isana, and Yūichi Nakamura as Ajima. The anime project is based on the Dark Machine metaverse shooter game, which launched its Early Access in 2024. The series is slated to debut this year and will be broadcast on Fuji TV.

Kazumi Terada is directing the anime at Production +h, with the pilot trailer staff returning for the television series. The overall project benefits from the involvement of Code Geass director Gorō Taniguchi as creative producer and Macross artist Hidetaka Tenjin as chief mechanical designer. Keiichi Yano is credited as the project's creator. The series scripts are being handled by "Team Carbuncle" (Takaaki Suzuki, Tatsuhiko Urahata, and Atsuo Ishino) alongside Satohito Sata.

The Dark Machine game is set in 2079, where factory robots have been repurposed into fighting mechs amidst global battles for energy derived from Palmer crystals. The anime promises a unique world setting within this near-future conflict, with plans for global distribution.
