The magical girl series Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly is officially returning for its second cour on October 4. Bandai Namco Filmworks and Studio Pierrot confirmed the release date alongside a new key visual, revealing that the story of sisters Fū and Rui will continue its broadcast run on Tokyo MX, ABC TV, TV Aichi, BS NTV, and AT-X.
New cast members joining the production for the second half include Yusuke Shirai, who will voice the Felix Star resident Mucchi, and Yūko Natsuyoshi, who takes on the role of the furball creature Shiromofu. They join previously announced addition Miyari Nemoto, who plays the idol enthusiast Asahi Araki. The production also confirmed that the K-pop group ILLIT will return to provide the new opening theme, "Swingin' Magic," while the show's main voice actresses, May Tachibana and Nao Ojika, will perform the ending theme, "Dream a la Mode."
Directed by Shintarō Dōge at Studio Pierrot, the series follows two sisters who gain magical powers and transform into idols under strict conditions. The first part of the series, which premiered in April, has seen a wide international rollout, with Bandai Namco Filmworks providing multi-language subtitles across various global streaming platforms, including Tubi in North America.
