Nintendo has released the Hello, Yoshi! app for free on both Nintendo Switch and smartphones. This launch is part of the new "My Mario" product line, which is designed with young children in mind.
The "My Mario" brand also features short, one-minute stop-motion animation episodes available on the official Play Nintendo YouTube channel. The seventh episode premiered on the same day as the app's release. The Hello, Yoshi! game itself previously launched in Japan on November 18 for Switch and smartphones, with the Hello, Mario! counterpart arriving in the U.S. on iOS, Android, and Switch on February 19. Both apps allow users to interact with Mario or Yoshi's faces on screen.
Beyond the digital offerings, the "My Mario" brand encompasses a range of physical products. These include picture books, building blocks, infant and toddler clothing, rattles, plush toys, and bath toys from various manufacturers. These merchandise items began rolling out on February 19 at Nintendo's New York and San Francisco stores, with wider retail availability planned for this spring in the U.S.
Further expanding the Mario universe, the game Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is slated for release on Nintendo Switch 2 on May 21. This follows the significant success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which achieved massive box office numbers worldwide and is the highest-earning video game adaptation to date.
