Fans of the long-running Saiyuki franchise have a new entry to anticipate, as a sequel to Saiyuki Reload: Zeroin has been revealed. This latest project will continue the adventures of the iconic Sanzo Ikkou as they battle demons and internal strife on their westward pilgrimage. The original Saiyuki Reload anime, adapted from Kazuya Minekura's manga, followed the continuing story after the initial Saiyuki series. This new anime picks up the narrative threads from Saiyuki Reload: Zeroin, which itself adapted the "Even a Worm" arc, a pivotal storyline focusing on the origins of the Sanzo Ikkou's enemies and their motivations. The series, produced by Studio Pierrot, has consistently delivered action-packed supernatural drama steeped in Buddhist mythology.
