The television short anime adaptation of Hiromi Morishita's Shō 3 Ashibe QQ Goma-chan has added two new voice actors to its roster. Kazuyuki Okitsu and Fumiko Orikasa will voice the parents of the series' young protagonist, Ashibe. Their characters are set to make their debut in the anime's premiere episode on April 12.

Okitsu, known for his roles in series like Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Chainsaw Man, will voice Ashibe's father. Orikasa, whose past work includes Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Bleach, will voice Ashibe's mother. The series follows the daily adventures of a baby spotted seal named Goma-chan and its owner, third-grader Ashibe Ashiya, with Misato Matsuoka voicing Ashibe and Yuria Kōzuki as Goma-chan.

Directed by Kōtarō Yamawaki at studio DLE, the anime features character designs also by Yamawaki. The production team includes Kyōhei Matsuno for music composition, Kazuki Kuwahara as sound director, Mayu Murayama as art director, and Ayumi Kanno as producer. The theme song, titled "CUE CUE CUTE," is performed by the group Hey! Say! JUMP.

The Shō 3 Ashibe QQ Goma-chan anime is scheduled to begin airing on April 12 as part of TV Tokyo's Sunday morning programming block, Animori!. The original manga by Hiromi Morishita launched in Futabasha's Manga Action magazine in 2020, with its fourth compiled volume released in November 2024. This latest anime adaptation continues the legacy of the Shōnen Ashibe franchise, which previously received television anime series in the 1990s and a new adaptation that aired from 2016.
