Yūichirō Umehara has been added to the voice cast for the upcoming anime adaptation of The Villager of Level 999. Umehara will portray Menō, a long-serving demon in the service of the Demon King.

The anime is slated for a July premiere and will be broadcast on TV Tokyo, BS Fuji, and additional networks. The series features Satoshi Inomata as Koji Kagami, Nao Tōyama as Alice, Hiroya Egashira as Takako, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Rex, Manaka Iwami as Krull, Aoi Koga as Tina, and Lynn as Paruna.

Directed by Yoshinobu Kasai at Brains Base, the series boasts Shinzō Fujita for series composition and Kentarō Matsumoto for character designs. Hiroshi Nakamura is handling the music, while Nakuru Aitsuki and Itsuki Natsume will perform the opening theme, "Not a Hero."

The story unfolds in the fantasy world of Earthqualia, where individuals are assigned a class at birth. It centers on Koji Kagami, who, despite being born a "villager"—the weakest class—has reached level 999. His path crosses with Alice, the demon lord's daughter, and together they embark on a quest to foster coexistence between humans and demons.
