Fans of the historical samurai drama Peace Maker Kurogane can look forward to a new anime entry. This latest project is a sequel, picking up the narrative threads from the original 2003 TV series produced by Gonzo, which followed Tetsunosuke Ichimura's turbulent journey to join the Shinsengumi.

The new sequel will build upon the events of the franchise, which also includes the film Peace Maker Kurogane – Belief & Friend. The original series, adapted from a manga by Nanae Chrono, depicted Tetsunosuke's quest for strength and revenge after his parents' murder, set against the backdrop of Japan's Bakumatsu period. While the 2003 series itself scored a 7.3 on MyAnimeList, the continuation offers a chance to revisit this compelling historical narrative.
